DIAMOND LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!
Last night saw the first team play the last game of the season! It was the decider against GEMS to see who would top the table! After a very slow and high pressured 3/4 we pulled away with the win 26-22. I have to say the defense totally stole the show and kept us in it with all the options! Jenny Johns also did amazing with her movement through the court scooping up POM. Everyone played their part in staying calm in the last quarter. It was so good to have all the support and Emma back from injury.
Basingstoke 1 finished 1st within the Diamond League!
Basingstoke 2 earned a promotion!

Another gleaming match from Div 2 last night to take a big win 50-12 over Jumper Ants.
Some match highlights:
Outstanding strength and hustle shown by Chloe C with strong contesting for the ball
Brilliant versatility across the whole team to ensure a strong 60 min performance covering a number of 2nd/3rd choice positions
Amazing work from Lara in GK for a tight 1v1 defence, keeping ball side and cutting off access to the shooters
Shout out to Emily for picking up another well deserved POM!
Basingstoke 2 finished 2nd within Division 2 and find out in July 2023 if they are promoted to Division 1 - stay tuned!
Basingstoke 3 finish stronger than ever!

Tough game against LW Netball Club, 23-39. Whilst it’s not a win it is an improvement on the scores from last time. So we will take it as a win.
We had a few players in different positions so it took a little bit of getting used to, but some fantastic interceptions by the defence team gave us wiggle room to settle.
Both Erin & Louise scoring some amazing goals, definitely kept LW on their toes!
The team has really become a dream team, with lots of PMA (positive mental attitudes) making every game a real joy to play.
Lots of improvements, with 2 games left I think we should be super proud of how far we’ve come.
Massive shout out to Tash for POM, the GS really made you work for it also a shout out to Anna for playing the whole game as C.
